In English class, we've preparing to read Julius Caesar
by William Shakespeare, and one of the ways my teacher decided to prepare us was to have us study and write our own sonnets. Sonnets, if you don't know, have three quatrains of four lines which follow an a-b-a-b rhyming scheme, followed by a couplet with an a-a rhyming scheme (so that the whole scheme ends up being a-b-a-b, c-d-c-d, e-f-e-f, g-g). Each quatrain makes a separate point, and the couplet sums the whole thing up. (I think that sonnets are supposed to be written in iambic pentameter as well, because mine sound kinda choppy, but my teacher never mentioned that. Plus I only had about fifteen minutes. So yeah.)
My teacher had us write our first sonnet yesterday. Being that it was Thursday, the seventh, the day after Wednesday, the sixth, the day that "Do No Harm" aired, the events of that episode became my topic.
So I present my tribute to Boone - two incredibly crappy sonnets, one in Shannon's POV, the other in Boone's. I like Shannon's better, but they both suck, so whatever. I feel like I need a tribute to my beloved. Rest in peace, mon amour.( I Was Gone as You Lay DyingCollapse )( Just One More MinuteCollapse )
